Reading data from Intel Euclid(6DOF)

Hello,

I am new to using anything like the Euclid and was wondering how I could get /display the data directly from it ? I am looking to do a 6 Degrees of Freedom project with an Arduino and want to know how to get the data when I get the scenario up and running.

Any other help/advice on how to go about this project will really be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi Feyiafolabi,

Thanks for reaching the Intel RealSense community, I was able to research online about this and it seems that we don't have tutorials yet in this specific scenario but I was able to find a public operating guide for the Euclid kit with information on getting values of the scenarios, also 6DOF and creating a library so you can use it with Arduino. Below is the URL for the guide:

http://https://click.intel.com/media/productid2100_10052017/euclid-operating-guide-final.pdf http:// https://click.intel.com/media/productid2100_10052017/euclid-operating-guide-final.pdf

Additionally, in case you want to get more information on Euclid, we also launched a dedicated community site besides this forum which you can access http://www.euclidcommunity.intel.com/ here. This includes news, sample projects, and video tutorials of the device.

I'll keep investigating on your inquiry and I'll update you if I find more information.

Have a great day!

Regards,

Hi Feyiafolabi,

Sorry, it seems that when the URL got copied, it duplicated the http:// syntax, please try removing the http:// from the beginning of the URL and try again, it should open after this.

Hi,

If you are looking the specific topic name its /realsense/odom.

One way to figure out the topic name is to run the scenario, go to the monitor screen and under the specific monitor window you can see the topic name.

For registering Arduino sketch to a specific ROS topic you can see our samples at the http://www.euclidcommunity.intel.com/ Euclid community site (see Arduino person detection tutorial for example) .

Hope this help, and you are always welcome to share your projects in the Euclid community site.

Regards,

Tsahi.
