hi
i recently bought an i7 3770 and the stock cooler has plastic push pins to attach to motherboard.
my pc came with i5 3300 stock cooler and it attaches with screws.
can i take the screws out of the i5 cooler and replace the plastic pins on the i7 3770 cooler with the screws?
should i just use the i5 cooler on the i7 ?
my pc is a dell inspiron 660

Hi,
The Intel stock fan is not designed to be modified, but both processors have similar thermal specifications so you should be able to use the other fan that came with that board.
