Hello,
I have had an ongoing problem for a month or so now.Every time I boot my laptop I receive error messages that igfx Tray has stopped working.
I have been searching high and low for a fix to this problem with no success.

Click OK to terminate the program.
I have run the Intel Driver Update Utility several times with admin privileges which says it does not find any drivers.
I have also tried to manually install the correct graphics driver only to be told it is not compatible with my system.
My laptop details are:
Dell XPS 15 with Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit
Intel Core i7-4712HQ CPU 2.30 GHz
16 gig RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M (with updated driver)
I would love to get this annoying problem solved so thank you to anyone who can give me some advice.

Hello Joel78,
I would recommend to install the latest version of the Graphics Driver from our site, please visit https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25541/Intel-Beta-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-7-8-1-10-15-40- Download Intel® Beta Graphics Driver for Windows® 7/8.1/10* [15.40], I would also recommend a manual installation of the driver. Here are the instructions for the http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-033916.htm Desktop graphics drivers — How to Manually Install a Driver in Microsoft Windows 8* or Windows 8.1*.
Regards,
Amy.

Thank you for your reply Amy
I downloaded the 64-bit zip file from the link you gave me and followed the installation steps. When I try to update the driver it says:
Windows has determined the driver software for your device is up to date.
Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600
The current driver details:
Driver date - 24/04/2014
Driver version - 10.18.10.3574
Should I try uninstalling the current driver and installing the beta version that you provided?
