Intel QX9300 compatibility with GM45 Chipset

I tried to install a QX9300 CPU in my HP Pavilion dv4-1150br laptop (uses GM45 Chipset) but did not work. The laptop not turn on! Why? Some configuration to be mabe or compatibility is limited by the motherboard manufacturer? (Note: HP support is terrible and does not give any useful information!)

Most probably compatibility has been limited. Prob no CPU microcode in BIOS

Compatiblity is limited by the system manufacturer, in this case Hewlett* Packard*, so I would recommend contacting them so they can provide you a list of supported processors for your Hewlett* Packard* system.
