Can Pentium II code run on an Intel Core Duo 2?

I have some binary files compiled from LabVIEW 5.1 CINs with a C++ compiler, to run on a Pentium II CPU desktop. I would like to run them on an Intel Core Duo 2 laptop CPU. As the processors are both Intels, does the newer processor support the older machine code?
