Hi guys, need help. I have a core i7 930 proc. I was just wondering, if anything would to go wrong with it and if warranty claim is needed, must i send the proc back along with the stock hsf bcoz i have misplaced the hsf and only have the proc with me now.

Once you troubleshoot the processor and turns to be defective, you need to contact your nearest Intel service center with the processor information. If they determine that you have retail boxed you will need to return the processor; however, you must include the original fan and heatsink.
