One of my laptops has an Intel Pro/Wireless 2200 BG Network Coonnection which starts working at a 54.0 Mbps speed, and then it deteriorates to a very slow speed of 1.0 Mbps. Needless to say, at this speed I cannot access the Internet or even download my emails. So I terminate the wireless connection and re-establish the connection right away so it will start at 54.0 Kbps. But after a while I have to repeat this process several times during the day.
My other laptop, with a different Intel wireless, has no problems at all.
The PRO/Wireless 2200 BG driver is version 9.0.19 of 10/29/2004. I just automatically downloaded/installed the one dated 12/10/2009, but I don't know what happened to it since when I look at the properties it shows the 2004 date instead of 2009, and the speed still drops down to 1 Kbps.
Any help and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Bill
