Hello,

I bought a motherboard (rampage 3 extreme) there a few days and i installed windows seven 64 bits. The ethernet controller (82566-DC 2) is recognized as hardware but there was an exclamation point next to hardware and I have a error code 10. I installed the latest driver (15.5) but still the same result.

Looking at the irq, I have (PCI) 0xFFFFFFFB (-5) Port racine Intel (R) 5520/5500/X58....-340E

(PCI) 0xFFFFFFFC (-4) Port racine Intel (R) 5520/5500/X58....-3409....

Is this normal ? I don't have internet and I don't know what to do...

Config :

I7 950

R3E

Harddisk 2To

GTX 460

If you shutdown and unplug the the network cable when you boot back up is error code 10 still their?

I suggest you try the drivers from Asus as you might have got the wrong ones even if you did get the right ones.

I have always code 10 (the device can't start) with asus driver. In tab ressources, it writes :"This device uses no resources because it has a problem"

The LEDs that are normally green and orange are extinct. At PC startup, an orange LED lights up and then nothing.

In everest software:

Have you installed the chipset drivers? With -overall command if possible.

Try the motherboard out of the case on some cardboard.

If you still get a error and you done what a asked then the connections from the Ethernet controller to the port is likely damaged and you will have to get a replacement motherboard.
