Hi,
I am about to get a Dell U3014 monitor, which has DisplayPort 1.2 input. I am interested in daisy-chaining my U3011 to the U3014. Per the U3014 documentation, it says that in order for daisy-chaining to work, my graphics card has to be certified to DisplayPort 1.2 specs with MST (Multi-Stream Transport).
Does my HD Graphics 4000 card support that?
Thanks.

Hello Nusaram,
I understand you want to know if the Intel® HD Graphics 4000 supports display port 1.2 and Multi-Stream Transport.
Note that our controller, in this case, the Intel® HD Graphics 4000 Supports Display Port version 1.1. You can check the information at the following link:
http://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/quick-reference-guide-to-intel-processor-graphics http://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/quick-reference-guide-to-intel-processor-graphics
In regards to the MST, I will need to check this information and I will back to you as soon as I have the answer for your query.
Thanks.

Thank you, Kevin.
MST is not supported on DP 1.1, so since the HD Graphics 4000 only supports DP 1.1., then it will also obviously not support MST.
Thanks for your help!

Hi,
is there a splitter/hub I can use to connect 3 DP1.1 monitors to a single DP1.1 port on the Intel HD Graphics 4000?
Thanks

Hello Marnix,
Please note that when using a splitter for displays, the splitter will display image just through one port. It is also important to mention that at this point, there isn't a compatibility hardware list to make this specific function.
If you would like to check the information for the 3 displays configuration, you can find the information at the following link:
http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/intelhdgraphics4000_2500/sb/CS-033714.htm?wapkw=three+displays http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/intelhdgraphics4000_2500/sb/CS-033714.htm?wapkw=three+displays
Thanks.
