I am using a Laptop of Lenovo G460 from april,2010 which has a processor of Intel Core i5-450MCPU which has a core speed of 2.40GHz and 3MB of L3 cache (Quad core-1st Gen). Now I want to buy a Macbook Air (april,2014 model) which has a processor of 1.4 GHz dual Intel Core i5 Processor (Turbo Boost upto 2.7 GHz) with 3MB of L3 shared cache. Between these two which processor is better in accordance to performance? Plz, suggest me.

Hello Imteaz.Ozmani, Intel® Core™ i5-450M Processor is actually dual-core but can handle four threads, two per core. The specifications are included below and you may compare them to the other processor if you get the exact model.
