Trying to install windows 8.1 and windows 10 on dell system with Pentium D 820. Intel product specs indicates that this cpu will run windows 8.1 or windows 10 because it supports Execute Disable Bit.
When installing either of the two operating systems it says my cpu is not supported.

Hello DChes,
Thank you for contacting Intel Communities.
I am sorry to hear you are having issues to install Windows® 8.1 or Windows® 10 on your computer. If you are trying to install Windows® 8.1, 64 Bit, the following information may be useful:

NOTE: These links are being offered for your convenience and should not be viewed as an endorsement by Intel of the content, products, or services offered there.
As for Windows® 10, only 3rd Generation Intel® Core™ Processors (Ivy Bridge) and above are validated to work with that OS, more information can be https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/processors/000006105.html here.
I hope this information helps.
Best Regards,
Juan V.
