I love the AC 7260 when it works--Its fast but about half the time I boot, it does not start (code 43). It will then start if I reboot. It also stops working after coming out of sleep.and will start after reboot. If it does not start, I can also go into the device manager, disable it and then reenable it and all is well. I am running 8.1 with ALL updates and fixes, my bios is up to date as are my drivers (17.1.0.19) I have trolled the boards and have tried everything---I think---but to no avail. Anyone have any other ideas??? Thanks in advance

Try this driver: http://drivers.softpedia.com/downloadTag/PROSet---Wireless+17.13.2 http://drivers.softpedia.com/downloadTag/PROSet---Wireless+17.13.2
17.1 has issues. You typically won't find the most current driver on the Intel site.
They release to the OEMs first. I installed in my Lenovo systems from the drivers available there. For 17.13, quoting from Lenovo's Readme:
[Problem fixes]
- Fixed an issue where the Wi-Fi icon might become "x" and wireless might be
disconnected after resuming normal operation from sleep or hibernation state.
- Fixed an issue where Intel wireless adapter had a yellow bang in the Device
Manager after unchecking the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to
save power" option after resuming normal operation from sleep or hibernation
state.
- Fixed an issue where the Device Manager might indicate "Windows has stopped
device" after resuming normal operation from sleep or hibernation state.
I also don't use ProSet. Uninstall it from Control Panel. Restart, and try this driver.

To add to that, in Device Manager, under the Power Mgt tab, the setting "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" has caused plenty of misery for many with wake up problems. Ensure that that one is ENABLED, meaning, the box is ticked.
