Intel 630: PC always starts with wrong display (Hdmi)

Hi,

i run a PC with Intel HD 630.

Two screens: digital display 27" with DVI as first and digital TV 40" with Hdmi as second screen, configured in INtel device driver.

This worked fine for several months. But since 3 weeks the PC always boots with the HDMI display.

I have to change it every time and i even if i disconnect the Hdmi cable from PC, the DVI display stays dark.

I installed latest driver.

Any idea??

Thanks

Rainer

Hello kanazawa,

I understand DVI connection stays black during computer boot.

Let me apologize for any inconvenience this issue may be causing to you.

In order to help you better I would like to gather more information about the configuration you have in the computer. Please attach to this thread the .txt file the Intel® System Support Utility will generate https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility

Are you using DVI to DVI cable?

Was there any type of software or hardware change before the issue started happening?

To attach a file, you must click "Use Advanced Editor" on the upper right hand corner of the response box, then the "attach" option will appear on the bottom right hand corner of the response box.

Regards,

Hello kanazawa,

Thanks for the information you sent to me.

I would like you to try updating some of the computer drivers in a specific order.

Please install this driver first, and then restart the computer http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/03CHIPSET/ConsumerME11.7.0.1014_RS2_20170718.zip http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/03CHIPSET/ConsumerME11.7.0.1014_RS2_20170718.zip

Please download this graphics driver https://downloadmirror.intel.com/27058/eng/win64_154605.4771.exe https://downloadmirror.intel.com/27058/eng/win64_154605.4771.exe

As soon as the graphics driver has been downloaded on the keyboard press WinLogo key + r, then type in devmgmt.msc, double click on Display Adapters -> Intel HD Graphics -> Driver tab -> Uninstall -> Select the check box Delete the driver software for this device -> OK, restart the computer, and then reinstall the driver I provided.

If possible try different DVI to DVI cable.

If issue persists please try updating the BIOS f the computer. There are several BIOS available for your computer. Please contact ASUS* so they can let you know the best way to update the BIOS. This link will give you their contact information https://www.asus.com/support/ https://www.asus.com/support/

Let me know if issue persists.

Regards,
