Hello,

Hello, this is my build:

  • i5-6600k (no OC)
  • ASUS MAXIMUS RANGER VIII (BIOS 3404)
  • MSI GTX 1060 6G
  • Samsung SSD 850 evo 250gb
  • WD Caviar Blue 1TB
  • G.Skill Ripjaws V 16gb 3200 DDR4
  • Dual monitor: Zowie XL2411 144hz + BenQ GW2260 60Hz

What I've done so far:

  • Playing with the lowest graphics settings possible with and without Vsync.
  • Tried adaptive VSync and Fast VSync
  • Update all drivers, GPU, Intel chipset, Asmedia, Ethernet... and tried to revert back to old GPU drivers
  • Tweak BIOS settings, disabling Intel speedstep, default settings, no RAM XMP profile, disable Turbo mode.
  • Tried any sort of reccommended Nvidia control panel settings like Cache shader, Thread optimization, Perfomance mode.
  • Tried MSI Gaming App OC mode and Gaming mode.
  • Move games on the primary disk.
  • Steam cache file verification.
  • Fixed the custom file paging size as minimum as possibile or as reccommended one.
  • Re-seat monitor cables.
  • Clean boot.
  • Playing with two different monitors at once at different refresh rates.
  • HDD full defragmentation.
  • Disabling IPV6, NetBIOS and any other ethernet adapter.
  • Checked temps and Windows services and tasks.
  • Disabling firewall and Defender.
  • Tried Anniversary Update, Creators Update and the latest Inside build
  • Tried a brand new GTX 1060 3gb

Nvidia, Psyonix, Rockstar and Microsoft are not able to help me, I've tried every solution provided by me without any fix

anphetamina: Thank you very much for joining the Intel® communities and for providing those files. We are sorry to hear the game is not working as expected.

At this point pretty much you tried all the troubleshoot steps we recommend for this scenario. Just to make sure, did you test the PC without the video card? This is just to confirm if the problem remains when using only the Intel® graphics controller.

Currently the latest graphics driver version in our web site for the Intel® HD Graphics 530 controller is 4771, please try to install it once you removed the video card:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/88345/Intel-HD-Graphics-530 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/88345/Intel-HD-Graphics-530

Please provide the information requested on the link below, there is no need to submit the files you already submitted:

Any further questions, please let me know.

Yes it works, I've tried a brand new GTX 1060 3GB (clean driver and Windows 10 installation) and it does the same

anphetamina: Thank you very much for providing that information. So, just to make sure, there is no problem when using the onboard graphics, the problem only happens when you use the video card? Because if that is the case, then it could be related to Nvidia drivers and the best thing to do will be to install the drivers from their web site:

http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/123936/en-us http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/123936/en-us

Any questions, please let me know.

Latest Nvidia drivers were already installed.

I've also tried old drivers as well.

anphetamina: I see, thank you for sharing those details. In this case then the next thing to do will be to get in contact directly with Nvidia so they can provide further assistance on this matter, maybe they have the chance to replicate this scenario in order to try to find a possible solution. The fact that the game works fine when you use the onboard graphics it means the Intel® graphics controller is working fine:

What would have been symptoms of a faulty cpu?

anphetamina: To confirm if the processor is faulty, what we recommend to do is basically what you did before, which is to test the games using the graphics controller embedded on the processor to verify if the problem persists. If that is the case and the issue still occurs using the onboard graphics, then the problem might be related to graphics drivers or the processor itself. As an alternative, if you have the option to test your processor on a different board or test your board with a different processor it will also be a good troubleshoot step to try.

Any questions, please let me know.

I can use my PC using the onboard graphic but I can't run GPU intensive games, the integrated graphics isn't powerful enough.

anphetamina: I see, in that case we can always run the Intel® processor diagnostics tool, it does an overall test on the processor and if the processor passed the test then it should be working fine:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/19792/Intel-Processor-Diagnostic-Tool https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/19792/Intel-Processor-Diagnostic-Tool

Please test the PC using one stick of RAM at the time with each stick, just to rule out a possible problem with one of them.

Additionally for testing purposes, we can try enable or disable the "game mode" feature from Windows:

I found the best game settings for "Rocket League", you should be able to test that game using the onboard graphics from the processor:

I've tested each RAM stick at once with memtest86, 8 passes with no errors. Game mode was already disabled. Rocket League won't freeze using the integrated Intel graphics.

anphetamina: Thank you very much for letting us know those results. The fact that "Rocket League" works without any problems means the processor is working fine.

The problem could be related to power and in that case we recommend to get in contact with Nvidia or ASUS to verify if the power supply you are using has enough wattage to work with all the components of your platform:

Any questions, please let me know.
