Hello,

Hope this is the right place.

wanted to inform about a critical issue with your driver for windows 10.

I have lenovo laptop (yoga 710), after installing the latest driver (from 11/11/16) windows won't load (display became black).

only after executing a role back to the driver (using safe mode), windows return to load again.

it happened few times, until I disabled the auto update to the driver and keep using the old driver.

I am currently using the old driver, but it also has problems of compatibility with microsoft office !!

I needed to disable the driver completely in order to run office in windows 10!

please, fix these problems..

it's a major critical bug!

thanks

tom

Hello tomvin,

I would like to gather more information in regard to this issue, so please respond to the following;

Provide your Windows build version.

What is the old driver version for you?

Have you tried one of these versions https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/96551/Intel-HD-Graphics-620 Downloads for Intel® HD Graphics 620? I tried to filter by the date, but none of them is stated as 11/11/16.

Have you tried with the drivers provided by your computer manufacturer?

Regards,

Amy.

Hello,

In the following picture you can see the old version: currently I disabled the old version because Microsoft office didn't worked with that version. as I mentioned, with the new version, it's not just the office that won't work – it's the whole windows.. when I try to update the old driver to the new driver (which I tried by the way - from device manager, from intel site and from "Intel ® driver update utility 2.6" in the middle of the installation, the screen become black – I can only see the mouse, and then the windows won't load anymore, only in safe mode I was able to load windows and to rollback to the old version of the driver which helped every time I did it).

Here is a picture of windows build and details:

Thanks,

Tom

Tom thank you for that information.

I just want to check; have you tried with this driver version; http://support.lenovo.com/cr/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/yoga-series/yoga-710-14isk/downloads/DS112955 Nvidia VGA Driver for Windows 10 (64-bit) - Yoga 710-14ISK, Yoga 710-15ISK - Lenovo Support?

For testing purposes, can you please try installing this driver https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26404/Graphics-Intel-Graphics-Driver-15-45-?product=96551 Download Intel® Graphics Driver [15.45] with this method http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005629.html Manually Install an Intel® Graphics Driver in Windows® 10 and Windows... ? I know you mentioned that you tried from the Device manager, but I just want to double check if this method helps.

Thank you.

Amy.

Thank you very much for the screenshot.

The two driver versions you mentioned, .4494 and .4550, are not showing in our official site. These drivers may have been provided by your computer manufacturer or Microsoft as you mentioned.

Tom, I know that you already try installing the driver from our end, but I would like to request to try with this driver one more time. This is in order for us to confirm that it was properly install in your Device manager; once you do that, please share the screenshot.

when I try to install, it tells me that I already have the latest driver - so the installation is canceled.

so in order to uninstall the driver, I needed to cancel the auto installation of windows drivers (if the auto installation is on, 2 seconds after I uninstall the driver, windows reinstall it and the screen is blacked).

I tried to disable the auto install of windows drivers in two ways:

the first one was, using advance system settings:

and the second way was: using registery.

I tried to change "SearchOrderConfig" value to '0' in regedit HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\DriverSearching

after I did the two things above, I removed the driver using device manager:

then, I tried to install the driver quickly, in the middle of the installation the screen got black.

after I restarted my computer in safe mode, I saw that the driver version was the same as before (21.20.16.4550)
