Hello guys, I'm having problems playing Resident evil 7 on my gpd win with intel atom z8700, with my MacBook Pro 13 with intel iris 6100 and my surface pro 4 with intel hd 520, the problems its like that

but on my surface pro 2 with intel hd 4400 and only 4 gb of ram, never crash, I can't understand why, but the people say it's a driver problem, I can install the same driver of my surface pro 2 on my intel atom and still is crashing. I think its a. problem of the chipsets or direct x, I'm not sure now but I think intel hd 4400 it's only compatible with directx 11, and the others with directx 12.

check this one: I'm playng and trying config during 4 hours without crashes.

I need your help a loot of people want play this game!

Hello surfaceprogamer_oficial:

Yes, in regard to your question, depending on the graphics driver version, it will support different version of DirectX, on the following chart you will be able to confirm that information:

http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005524.html http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005524.html

In regard to the MacBook Pro 13 in order to get assistance with that product, please get in contact directly with Apple® support:

Apple's phone number: 800-692-7753

Apple's support site: https://support.apple.com/ https://support.apple.com/

Regarding the graphics drivers, I just wanted t let you know that the Intel drivers are generic, that means they might or might not work with your system, that is why we recommend to use the drivers provided by the manufacturer.

Since the laptop is using Intel® HD graphics 520, we can try the following drivers:

Beta driver 4552:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26464/Intel-Graphics-Beta-Driver-15-45-?product=88355 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26464/Intel-Graphics-Beta-Driver-15-45-?product=88355

Driver 4542:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26404/Graphics-Intel-Graphics-Driver-15-45-?product=88355 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26404/Graphics-Intel-Graphics-Driver-15-45-?product=88355

Did the game work fine before?

This problem happens just with Resident Evil 7 or with any game?

On the following link you will be able to see the graphics drivers provided by Microsoft:

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=49498 https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=49498

Please let me know the results of trying the drivers above.

Any further questions, please let me know.

Regards

Alberto

still the crashing, I think intel hd 4400 its the only compatible and no crasheable device, all other news devices with intel hd graphics will crash, intel are making very bad work with the gpu updates... having two devices newer and with better performance like hd 520 and iris 6100 I prefer play with intel hd 4400 because no crash never, please intel solve the problems with the drivers!

Hello,

I was curious and decided to test this game.

The game launched fine on a couple of 6th Generation Intel NUCs, both systems using our latest 15.45 driver builds .4542 and .4552.

1. Intel® NUC6i7KYK (Intel® Iris™ Pro Graphics 580, 16GB DDR4, Windows 10* 64-bit Anniversary Update)

2. Intel® NUC6i5SYH (Intel® Iris™ 540, 16 GB DDR4, Windows 10* 64-bit Anniversary Update). I did a video showing how the game was running at the moment:

https://youtu.be/gLqTw6lW5dM https://youtu.be/gLqTw6lW5dM

The error you are seeing is the application telling us that it cannot access a required DirectX* runtime component. This is usually due to a problem with the current install of DirectX* on your system. Try the following:

1. Locate the game installation folder. If you purchased the game from Steam it should be

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\RESIDENT EVIL 7 biohazard\_CommonRedist\DirectX\Jun2010"

2. Right-click on the file "DXSETUP.EXE" and select "Run as administrator".

3. Complete the installation process and restart the computer.

If the issue persists, then upload the http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000022556.html DxDiag.txt and http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000022557.html system report so that we can analyze what else could be triggering this issue on your systems.

Hello surfaceprogamer_oficial:

Thank you very much for letting us know that information.

We are sorry to hear that the issue persists.

In this case we will start an investigation on this issue in order to try to find a possible resolution to fix it.

On the following link you will find a chart, please fill that chart with as much details as you can, in regard to the Surface Pro 4:

/thread/77761 https://communities.intel.com/thread/77761

Also, please install the SSU tool (System Support Utility):

You will be able to download it on the following link:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility

Once you do that, the tool will allow you to save the information as a file, so, once you save it, please also attach it to this thread, in order for us to see it.

Besides that, right click anywhere on the desktop and look for the option: Intel® HD Graphics control panel, once you open that, choose "options and support", then select "information center", and then choose where it says "file" at the bottom, you will get a text file, please attach it to this thread, so we can verify it.

Any questions, please let me know.

Regards
