My friend who works in the tech support of my college I think deleted my wireless adapter from my computer. He didn't physically remove anything so I know it is in it somewhere. How do I get back my ability to get wireless on the adapter that came in the computer?

Sorry I don't have more information to give you. Tell me whatever info you need and I will let you know.

Read some of the other posts regarding the same issue. It appears it is related to Microsoft updates as many are having the same problem. Mine is with a Dell Studio running Windows 7, and many others are with the Toshiba.

Try some of the tips on this page: http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/wlan/sb/cs-010623.htm http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/wlan/sb/cs-010623.htm

if you don't know the model of your wireless adapter, try this http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/detect.htm Automatically install your wireless driver and software

or you can also try this one http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/wlan/sb/CS-025417.htm Identify your wireless adapter and driver version

once you have the wireless card's model and software and drivers are installed, you should be good to go.

if all else fails, you can identify your wireless adapter's model in your laptop by searching for your laptop's specs.
