IAANTmon.exe cannot tell me what drive is failing

OS: Windows Vista x64

Problem:

I have two 1.5 TB drives in a RAID1 configuration, and one of the two

drives keeps causing the controller to degrade and rebuild the mirror array.

The problem is that there is no indicatation whatsoever given by the controller,

the Intel Matrix Storage Console, or the event montior (IAANTmon.exe) as

to which of the two drives in the array is actually failing.

This is simply astounding.
