No, the readme file on my package says this:
Alpha/Beta/Production Candidate Releases
Microsoft Windows Vista*
Microsoft Windows* 7
Driver Revision: 15.21.2.2224
October 22, 2010
Should I use this or not?

well,
That looks loke a newer package than anything i can find on Intels web site which makes me wonder.
Any driver listed as a "Canididate" usualy means it has not been tested yet.
You may want to try the driver at the link above and see if it installs for you.

Thanks Doc_SilverCreek. I tried with the link that you provided it says the system does not meet the minimum requirements while the beta one at least fails in the end. Also on that system I have 2 GB RAM, Intel (R) CPU, 9GB free space on the hard drive. What else I am missing?

Well, I guess that message is slightly more informative.
What board, processor and chipset are you using?
The README says you need :
************************************************************
* 1. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
************************************************************
1. The system must contain one of the following Intel
Chipsets/Processors:
Intel(R) Pentium(R) Processor
Intel(R) Core(TM) i3 Processor
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 Processor
Intel(R) Core(TM) i3 Mobile Processor
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 Mobile Processor
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 Mobile Processor
Intel(R) B43 Express Chipset
Intel(R) G41 Express Chipset
Intel(R) G43 Express Chipset
Intel(R) G45 Express Chipset
Intel(R) Q43 Express Chipset
Intel(R) Q45 Express Chipset
Mobile Intel(R) GL40 Express Chipset
Mobile Intel(R) GM45 Express Chipset
Mobile Intel(R) GS45 Express Chipset
2. The software should be installed on systems with at
least 1 GB of system memory.
3. There should be sufficient hard disk space in the
directory on the system in order to install this
software.
The drivers included with this distribution package are
designed to function with all released versions of
Microsoft Windows Vista* or Microsoft Windows 7*.
Please check with your system provider to determine the
operating system and Intel Chipset used in your system.

I am not having much luck today
I found a 1587i http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00714533&tmp_task=prodinfoCategory&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&site=null&tool=&key=null&product=3198159 http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00714533&tmp_task=prodinfoCategory&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&site=null&tool=&key=null&product=3198159
Not an Intel chipset
and a 1587c http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00680716&tmp_task=prodinfoCategory&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&site=null&tool=&key=null&product=3220010 http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00680716&tmp_task=prodinfoCategory&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&site=null&tool=&key=null&product=3220010
Which is an older Intel 945P chipset but external video.
but no 1587h.
C206 \ (Cougar Point Server Advanced) look to be the newest chipset that is suppost to release this month,\
So I guess your going to have to contact HP for help .
