I have a Gateway DX4831-01e with what I believe is an i3 with HD Graphics 2000. I have it connected to HDMI reciever and a panasonic 720p TV. Sometime between now and last week something happened that has cause its native resolution of 1280x720p to be displayed way streched outside of the screen. I have downloaded the latest driver and it has not helped. I've tried other resolutions and settings and none of them work properly either. I dont know what else to do here.

Hi,
Perhaps you already know this but anyway...
I also have a Panasonic tv and there is a setting called "overscan" in the tv settings menu that can be turned on or off. It should be set to off. Otherwise the tv will crop the image that the graphics card gives it.

You can refer to this site to get the latest generic drivers for that video controller:
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProductFamily=Graphics&ProductLine=Desktop+graphics+controllers&ProductProduct=Intel%C2%AE+G33+Express+Chipset&ProdId=2843&LineId=1100&FamilyId=39 http://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProductFamily=Graphics&ProductLine=Desktop+graphics+controllers&ProductProduct=Intel%C2%AE+G33+Express+Chipset&ProdId=2843&LineId=1100&FamilyId=39
Keep in mind that Intel makes available generic versions of the Intel® graphics drivers. However, Intel always recommends that you check with your computer manufacturer and use the latest Intel graphics driver provided by your computer manufacturer. Your computer manufacturer may have altered the features, incorporated customizations, or made other changes in the drivers they provide for your computer. To avoid any potential installation incompatibilities on your computer, Intel recommends that you first check with your computer manufacturer and use the driver provided by your computer manufacturer.

Hi,
I suggest you to try all the troubleshooting posted on the following article:
http://support.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-022544.htm http://support.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-022544.htm
In additon try using the special driver posted here:
http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-028366.htm http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-028366.htm
Furthermore, be sure to test this without any device between the computer and the TV, so use a direct connection without any adapter, converter or the specially without the receiver that you are using.

Ssebastian,
I did not know that. That was the problem, a setting on the TV itself. Thanks!
