Add new Microcode for Pentium 4 HT (SL9KG 631) 3GHz

Hi,

I want to add a missing microde for the SL9KG 631 P4 Processor to my Phoenix cME FirstBIOS Pro BIOS of my HP ZD8231EA Laptop because it doesn´t boot with this processor.

CPU is working fine in another system with the same Chipset (i915P).

Can anyone help me, please?

Das ganze gibts auch auf Deutsch:

Hi,

Hi,

I have downloaded the Linux Processor Microcode Data File, searched for the 0x00000f65 string, wrote a program that translates text to binary format, updated BIOS with the new microcode using the Phoenix Bios Editor and flashed the new BIOS.

The motherboard still works with standard 6x0 processors. 6x1 processors remain in P.O.S.T. hang with 0x67 (Initialize multi-processor APIC).

Does anyone have an idea what´s wrong???
