I am building a computer for home/family use:
Applications are:
1.) Moderate video gaming - nothing hard core
2.) Some video and audio file editing
3.) General home use: browsing, word-processing, email, etc
4.) Mult-user environment: many processes/threads running but not necessarily active
The Proposed System is:
1.) i7-2600 uP
2,) ASUS P8H67-M LE Motherboard
3.) 2 x 2GB DDR3
I am confused on the graphics card requirement because I understand the uP has embedded graphics processing.
Do I need a graphics card ? I was thinking of a low end one such as Radeon HD570 .
Thanks for any advice,
Bruce

I don't think you need an add on GPU with your current set up. The embeded graphics in Core i7-26K is capable of running games that doesn't need that much of GPU power. Unless you're going hardcore in gaming then stick with embeded graphics.

If the processor supports embedded graphics, and the motherboard has a video port connector, then there is no need for a PCI / PIC Express video card.
