Hi
I'm looking at providing an HP400G3 desktop with a Gen6 i3 processor and HD530 graphics to a customer for use with Miracast on Windows 10.
Can someone confirm that this combination, when paired with a suitable WiFi adapter will support Miracast?
Also which of the Intel Dual band WiFi adapters would be suitable for adding to the HP400G3 chassis?
Thanks in advance
Mark

Hello, Silentmonkey:
Thank you for contacting the Intel Communities.
Wireless display applications are supported for the Skylake generation (6th), you could find this information in the page 33 and 43 of this pdf: http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/processors/core/desktop-6th-gen-core-family-datasheet-vol-1.html http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/processors/core/desktop-6th-gen-core-family-datasheet-vol-1.html
As per my research on this, the products that support this are mostly OEM systems or pre-built systems, and they have to be Miracast-certified (List of Miracast-certified products: http://www.wi-fi.org/product-finder-results?capabilities=2 http://www.wi-fi.org/product-finder-results?capabilities=2)
The support for desktop or costume build systems is not so clear so my recommendation would be to double check with Microsoft* directly to verify the compatibility with the desired generation of Intel® processors and scenario (desktop/costume build) you would like to use it with; you could also check with them if there are adapters that enable this in the PC.

Hello, Silentmonkey:
Thought I would just check in and find out if you were able to get the compatibility check with Miracast with the recommended support site.
I look forward to hearing from you.
