Does S1200KPR really need a graphics card?

Hi there...

I recently bought a S1200KPR board and an E3-1240v2 CPU, and I have just assembled them and it's not working. I read /message/188805 this thread, and an Intel rep has said that that board only works with CPU graphics.

However, on http://ark.intel.com/products/67346/ this page, it says "Integrated Graphics: Yes", and when clicking on the "Integrated Graphics" hint, it says this:

Integrated graphics allow for incredible visual quality, faster graphic performance and flexible display options without the need for a separate graphics card.

I made my entire purchasing decision based on this -- and the two statements seem contradictory. Can anyone explain?

Thanks,

Matt

Integrated graphics only works when your CPU has a graphics core. For more technical details, see http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/s1200kp/sb/CS-032722.htm Technical product specification, section 2.6. For a list of supported CPUs that has graphics core, See http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/s1200kp/sb/CS-032725.htm Tested processor list.

This is pretty shit. I have wasted a ton of money on these parts, because your documentation is hopeless.

I'd suggest you look at making this much clearer.
