Just been waiting a number of years for someone to develope a 128 bit processor. I hope China does not do it first. The IBM 370 back in the 70's had 128 registers.

Double data flow with no change in speed. Some say it can not be done. A project of this magnitude would ensure job security for a while.

Or, just wait for IBM to do it after they get a new CEO.

LOL! This will happen eventually, but only once the true need for such a beast is established. There is already support for 128-bit math in the IA32-64 and AMD64 architectures. Most current processors do not even have a full 64-bit external address space; this will more likely be the next thing that appears...
