I have Windows 8 62 bit and i dont know where i can check what motherboard i have

I do not see any drivers for the B970 for Windows 8, although it says Windows 8 is supported.

The Intel support staff will have to clarify.

There are no drivers for the processor other than that for the Intel HD Graphics driver. According to the compatibility chart, Support is limited to Windows 8.1 and previous versions. Unfortunately, I too could find no drivers for Windows 8 or Windows 8.1 posted for this processor; I could only find Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows XP drivers. For Windows 10, only minimal support is available and this via the Microsoft compatibility drivers.

The processor works in concert with a chipset that is provided on (compatible) motherboards. For the chipset, you will need this package: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/22153/Chipset-Intel-Chipset-Device-Software-for-Intel-Desktop-Boards-with-6-Series-Chipset?product=71617 Download Intel® Chipset Device Software for boards with 6 Series Chipset. Again, no support is provided for Windows 10 (though Microsoft's compatibility drivers should support it).

Hope this helps -- and yes, Intel Customer Support will need to comment regarding the availability of version(s) of the Intel HD Graphics driver for this processor and Windows 8/8.1...
