I kept having the following alert pop up on my screen:

I ignored it at first, until it got annoying. Then I got fed up & downloaded the Intel processor ID utility. The result was:

You use an outdated driver. Please update your driver version

Intel® HD Graphics Family igdumd64dll 8.15.10.2279 2011/01/08

Intel processor ID utility came up with:

Intel® Core™ i3-2350M CPU @2.30 GHz

Chipset ID: 1C49

System Graphics: Intel® HD Graphics 3000

Intel® HD Graphics 3000 has been discontinued, so what LATEST driver can I use to update????? I looked at the 2nd 1 listed at: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/81500/Intel-HD-Graphics-3000 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/81500/Intel-HD-Graphics-3000, but it was released in 2015 (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/24971/Intel-HD-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-7-8-64-bit?product=81500 Download Intel® HD Graphics Driver for Windows* 7/8-64-bit ). FFS… I was looking at everything so long my eyes are starting to cross – chipsets, drivers, I3... OMG, my brain is melting… & the fact that they AREN'T in any kind of # order might be part of it, haha…

I ALSO found the following, which I will list below (released more recently - 2017):

https://www-ssl.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/graphics-for-7th-generation-intel-processors/intel-iris-plus-graphics-650.html https://www-ssl.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/graphics-for-7th-generation-intel-processors/intel-iris-plus-graphics-650.html

  • Date: 30-May-2017
  • Version: 15.45.19.4678 (Latest)
  • OS: Windows® 10, 64-bit*, Windows 8.1, 64-bit*, Windows 7, 64-bit*
  • Description: This download record installs the Intel® Graphics Driver version 15.45.19.4678 for Windows*.

Can anyone tell me if the 1 released in May is the MOST recent & the 1 i'm SUPPOSED to update with? ANY help would be appreciated...

Your Sandy Bridge processor and it HD 3000 Graphics are not supported on Windows 10.

The best you can do is to use the driver here:

ok, something went wrong, Al, lol... I went to the driver section & got this -

Apparently, it's also working right:

GRRR... - IF it's working the right way, then why do i get the error message that i showed in my 1st post!?! This makes NO sense... And it wouldn't tell u its current - that's contradictory...

Well, what application/game is generating that message? I would check with them.

That being said, you have the latest driver.
