Intel 5100/5300 Authentication

Is there something within the wireless management software that I can set to have the wirelss adapter authenticating to the network? everything seems to be happening *behind the scenes* and I thought that there was some type setting to display this?

Actually one more question as well, is there a setting also to disable the wireless connection while the wired is connected? Thanks

the management software for Intel wifi cards is proset, go to http://downloadcenter.intel.com download center and select the appropriate wifi model and operating system.
