WX58BP: BIOS screen to disable cores

Intel does not publish any public documentation indicating whether I can enable an arbitrary number of cores in the following workstation board.

WX58BP

If I plug a 4-core processor into the above motherboard, can I arbitrarily activate any one of the following number of cores?

As you say there isn't any documentation and to be honest i havent got a 58BP around to check but i seem to remeber it's very similar to the smackover, so you will prob only be able to disable multicore, leaving just one but not be able to disable say 2 or 1 cores.

I checked the documentation for the 2 primary competitors of the Intel WX58BP. They are the Asus P6T6 WS and the SuperMicro X8STI. Like the WX58BP, both competitors use the x58 chipset, but unlike the WX58BP, both competitors have documentation that clearly explains all the options in each screen of the BIOS setup.

Both competitors allow enabling the following number of cores in a 4-core processor.

Why does Intel refuse to document this information for the WX58BP?
