Intel Mobile 945 on Intel Mac Mini with Denon and Sony

I have an Intel Mac Mini with Intel Mobile 945. I have the mini connected to Denon AVR 2310CI via DVI-to-HDMI and I have installed boot camp so I can run Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit on it.

When I boot into Mac OS X, all works well and I can see the max resolution of 1920x1080 on my Sony Bravia HDTV.

When I boot into Windows 7, unfortunately, I see the "starting windows" splash screen and then the screen goes blank. I can remote desktop from another computer, and I can connect directly to the TV and see the desktop at 1920x1080 but when I send it through the Denon, it is unable to display the picture.

Since I am looking at several pieces of technology, I did not know where to start, so I started here. Apparently, the Intel driver is unable to keep the EDID information from Denon and that is perhaps where the disconnect is.

Can anyone clarify what may be the problem, and more importantly, how to resolve it?

bump? anyone else have this issue? i have seen this reported elsewhere, but no specific resolution documented anywhere.

thanks! it is good to know i am not the only one. are these boards getting any visibility into intel PM? someone needs to take ownership of this issue and communicate/resolve. i am this close to selling my mac mini because it is not serving the purpose of being an HTPC! if it is simply a matter of software/drive update which has just not gotten the visibility, i would be very very disappointed 😞
