Hello,

I have a Intel Server S3420GP with an Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU X3430 @ 2.40GHz processor, we are currently running Windows Server 2003 SP2, but are need to upgrade as support for Server 2003 will stop next year. Can you tell me if it is possible to install Windows Server 2012 Essentials on this machine, and the Intel Deployment Assistant only seems to support Server 2008, and I'm not sure that the latest edition of the Intel Deployment Assistant supports this server. .

Yours - Antony Horner

Windows Server 2012 is not tested or supported on S3420GP, as this board is several years old already, and I don't think there is future plan to test or support it.

You can always try to install it, it's quite possible that Windows Server 2012 should have most of the drivers embedded already. However if you encounter any error, support from Intel will be very limited.
