Apologies if this is in the wrong section, I signed up just to figure out this issue.

For the past few months, I've been trying to figure out what the issue is with my computer and the installation of this driver:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?lang=eng&DwnldID=22518&OSFullname=Windows+7++*&DownloadType=Drivers&ProdId=undefined https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?lang=eng&DwnldID=22518&OSFullname=Windows+7++*&DownloadType=Drivers&ProdId=undefined

I currently am using an Inspiron 14R laptop with the following specs:

Processor: Intel Core i3 CPU M380 @ 2.53GHz (4 CPIs), ~2.5GHz

Memory: 4096MB Ram

Video Card: Intel HD Graphics

Video Card Memory: 1696 MB

OS: Windows 7

Based off reading the instructions on installation, this should install perfectly but it is not so. As I attempt to open the set up wizard, I'm only able to click 'Next', 'Yes', 'Next', then when I see it finally about the install, the window just prematurely closes and does absolutely nothing, My graphics have been horrible as of late and I think this driver would help, but I've had no success of even installing once. I've even temporarily disabled, even removed Intel HD Graphics but neither methods have worked.

What could be the cause? I'd appreciate to have insight on how to install this. Thank you.

You can try using that zip file with the driver you have been using, but following the instructions on the following article

http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-033915.htm Graphics | Have Disk Driver Install Steps For Microsoft Windows 7*

You can also test using the latest customized driver that has been provided by DELL for your system. For this you can use this link:

http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/DriversHome/ShowProductSelector Product Selection | Dell US

If the issue persists, there might be a problem with the operating system itself, possibly Windows* installer or another application is preventing the installation to finish. Try updating Windows* installed for your system and have the latest Microsoft* Framework available on Microsoft's web site. Otherwise you may need to have an operating system repair or re-install .
