CPU won't fire up.

My self built machine died. The day that it happened there was a critical process failure screen the night before. I hit the reset buttion and went to bed. Woke up the next day and the machine was running but no visual display.

Hit reset buttion and nothing happens. I have to hold the power buttion to switch the machine off. The fans are running and the lights are on but none of the peripherals are lit up. No BIOS screen on restart. Nothing. I think my processor has died.

My mobo is https://www.asus.com/uk/Motherboards/SABERTOOTH-Z170-MARK-1/ SABERTOOTH Z170 MARK 1 | Motherboards | ASUS UK

My CPU is https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B010T6DQTQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Intel Core i7 6700K Processor (4 GHz, 4 Core, 8 Threads, 8 MB cache, LGA1151

I plugged in my phone and tried Asus's TUF Detective app and I'm getting a POST No. 1032 "Check Processor" message. The app also lets you restart or power down the machine but that doesn't seem to work.

I've tried taking out both graphics cards and all but one stick of RAM to see if it was another component that was stopping the CPU from running. Nothing happens again,

The machine is only 8 months old. I use it daily for work and leisure and hardly switch it off.

Anyone got any suggestions? I've been trying to get in contact with support but all their support features are offline. I would like to RMA this processor.

Did you try resetting the Bios?
