Why is my CS: GO FPS drop?

I've been noticing huge FPS drops while playing CS: GO. It stays at 60+ FPS most of the time and suddenly drops to 10-20 FPS and comes back to 60+ after several seconds. I'm not sure why, it would be great if anyone can help me. I've updated my drivers to the latest and DirectX as wellFP

Hello awesomness,

Thanks for the information.

Note that the drivers we have are generic drivers and we recommend installing the drivers from the system manufacturer side. However, you can try from our side installing the latest graphics driver for the Intel® HD Graphics 3000 at the following link:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=22628&lang=eng&OSVersion=Windows%207%20%2864-bit%29*&DownloadType=%0A%09%09%09%09%09%09%09Drivers%0A%09%09%09%09%09%09

As part of the troubleshooting steps we can recommend you, is to update all the drivers using the drivers from the system manufacturer side including the BIOS chipset.

Thanks.

Hello!

I have THE SAME PROBLEM! I have 120fps but randomly they go down, for just a fraction of a second, to 50, 60 then back to 120. Why is that?

I will give you all the info you need just tell me what.

It sounds like you may be experiencing common gameplay. Remember the entire game isn't loaded into memory or onto the graphics chip. During the game scenes with high action, new textures being loaded, or just additional players entering the game can drop your FPS down a bit. Especially if it for just a fraction of a second. If you gameplay is really affected the previous advice should be taken. If there is a benchmark for that game I suggest you run it and post the results.

Thanks,

Chase Valentine
