6700k FPS dropping on games

Hello,

Iv bought a i7 6700k recently, but when i play most of my games, the fps drops significantly after a shot time of use, and this as peaks that come and go allongside the time play.

the same "lagging" spread to the pc sometimes, when i alt + tab.

I have searched a lot, but dont have found any question with the same specs as my own, the temperature is ok with the processor and gpu, th only strange thing is that on the image.

My active core count is on the most of the time in 0, o noticed that when the games run smooth, the cores have an value different that 0.

Im using an ASUS B150m-c BR at bios version 2001 (came this way, i did not update),and a GTX 670 that i was using previously on my old i5 2320 with no problems, and a 750w cooltek font.

Please, give me a hand on that, thx.

Hello LucasWhite:

Thank you very much for providing the picture.

Could you please provide the name of the game?

The processor works with Intel® HD Graphics 530 controller, on the following link you will find the latest version of the graphics driver for that controller, please install it and test the game again, it is 4542:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26404/Intel-Graphics-Driver-15-45-?product=88345 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26404/Intel-Graphics-Driver-15-45-?product=88345

If the problem remains after trying that driver, please try the following is the one provided by ASUS, look for VGA it is 4416:

https://www.asus.com/br/Motherboards/B150M-C-BR/HelpDesk_Download/ https://www.asus.com/br/Motherboards/B150M-C-BR/HelpDesk_Download/

Now, remember that if you use an external video card, the Intel drivers will get disable automatically, and in that case the drivers you need are the ones that belong to the video card, on the following link you will find it:

http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/111830/en-us http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/111830/en-us

The links provided above are for Windows® 10, so if you are using a different operating system you can always change it on those same links.

Any questions, please let me know.

Alberto

Hello wiseninja:

In this case the best thing to do will be to get in contact with the manufacturer of the laptop, based on the fact that this problem seems to be related to configuration, they will be able to further assist you since they build the laptop.

To LucasWhite:

I just wanted to check if the information posted previously was useful for you and also if the problem persists or if it got resolved?

Regards

Hello Alberto!

Yes, the problem was the pci express slot on the motherboard, after a week of tests, i just put the gpu on the scond slot and bam, works just fine.

Thx!
