Replace Dual-Band Wireless-N 7260

I want to replace my dual-band n7260 adapter - struggling for months with it dropping connections, not connecting at all, reloading drivers, tweaking settings. It's very frustrating.

I'd like to replace it with something more reliable but can't seem to find conclusive upgrade information on the Intel pages.

I have the m.2 version and am wondering if I can upgrade to the N 9260 adapter?

Thanks!

Hello TJGroup,

We understand that you're having issues with your Intel® Dual Band Wireless-N 7260 and would like to replace it with a newer adapter model.

The safest way to find a suitable replacement will be to contact your computer manufacturer to learn which adapters have been pre-approved for your specific computer. If possible, it's always best to purchase the replacement directly from them to avoid any compatibility issues.

Since it's impossible for us to confirm hardware compatibility, plus we can't risk suggesting an adapter that has not been certified for your computer (regulatory issues), we cannot recommend a new wireless card for you. We do not provide support for custom wireless integrations.

While the Intel® Wireless-AC 9260 has not been released to consumers yet, you may want to ask your computer manufacturer about the Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260 or 8265 models, both of which are released in the same M.2 form factor as your current adapter.
