What is the Burst?

Hello!

I was bought laptop with very weak Intel processor, N3050. I was read the description for this processor on http://ark.intel.com/products/87257/Intel-Celeron-Processor-N3050-2M-Cache-up-to-2_16-GHz this page for some tips, how to speed up it.

But what is "Burst Frequency"? I guess, it can bit speed up processor.

I was read https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/architecture-and-technology/turbo-boost/turbo-boost-technology.html this page about "Intel Turbo Boost", and what is difference with it and "Burst"?

If I can, how I can enable this "Busrt" on Linux, specifically - on Arch Linux? I guess, I need to install official microcode for this processor.

I would like to share with you that the Burst Frequency provides on-demand, higher performance for very short intervals of time in small device form factors, and the Intel® Turbo Boost Technology allows processor cores to run faster than the base operating frequency if they're operating below power, current, and temperature specification limits on desktop and mobile platforms, this is basically the main difference between these two technologies. Now, the Burst Frequency in your processor is usually activated automatically when the processor is on a high load meaning that it will be reached whenever the processor needs it.
