Driver Intel HD 530 not working Dual DVI 4k

Hi!

What we have:

1) monitor Crossover 27Q 27" (2560 * 1440 * 60 Hz), guaranteed to work in these mode on the AMD / Nvidia graphics cards

2) good working cable Dual Link DVI-D and HDMI

3) Motherboard https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/H110M-A/specifications/ Asus H110M-A outputs with DVI-D / HDMI and Intel HD 530 graphics

* Board Specification:

- Supports HDMI with max. resolution 4096 x 2160 @ 24 Hz / 2560 x 1600 @ 60 Hz

- Supports DVI-D with max. resolution 1920 x 1200 @ 60 Hz

However, three pitfalls:

a) monitor 27" 2K does not want to work for DVI / HDMI in 2560 * 1440 * 60 Hz (Dual Link DVI);

b) it works only 2560 * 1440 * 30 Hz (Single Link DVI);

c) connected by cable DVI-D TV 4K working in the native resolution (3840 * 2160 * 30 Hz);

d) in "custom resolution modes" error appears "custom resolution exceeds the maximum bandwidth"

The problem:

how to make the monitor work in native resolution at 60Hz?

I guess the problem is purely software drivers Intel (Win10 x64). Custom Reolution Utility did not help. Utilities such as pixel clock patcher for Intel does not exist.

Hello Maxim012,

Thank you for contacting the Intel community.

What is your processor model and monitor model?

Please attach the report for Intel® graphics drivers, you can follow the steps how to get it here:

http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005848.html http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005848.html

I will appreciate if you can if you can attach the system information with the latest graphics driver installed:

Intel SSU (System Support Utility) (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility😞

Download Intel® System Support Utility
  1. Download the utility
  2. Run the exe and select 'Scan'
  3. Save and include as an attachment in the Intel Community Forum

Regards,

Ivan.

What is your processor model and monitor model?

Intel Core i3-6100 and monitor DNS L270 (http://club.dns-shop.ru/tv/%D0%93%D0%B8%D0%B1%D0%BA%D0%BE%D0%B5-%D0%BA%D0%B0%D1%87%D0%B5%D1%81%D1%82%D0%B2%D0%BE-Preview-IPS-%D0%BC%D0%BE%D0%BD%D0%B8%D1%82%D0%BE%D1%80%D0%B0-DNS-27-L270/ link) = Crossover 2720MDP GOLD (https://forums.overclockers.ru/viewtopic.php?p=9662701 link)

On other questions I will answer later. Perhaps they do not make sense, just look at these pictures. All the latest drivers & bios.

In this case, for you to get the proper resolution you will need to use straight connection from HDMI on the device to HDMI on the TV, if there is any an adapter or Dual Link DVI-D may to affect on video quality and connectivity, Intel has not validated any adapters or dual link with the Intel graphics, Intel only test the graphics with straight connection.

However, you can try installing the latest graphics driver, you can download it at:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26404/Graphics-Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-15-45-?product=88345 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26404/Graphics-Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-15-45-?product=88345

I suggest uninstalling the old driver first and installing the new one.

Check with your monitor manufacturer on availability of an updated .INF file or monitor driver.

Install the latest system BIOS for your computer, check with your computer manufacturer for the latest system BIOS and video BIOS with added support for the larger display mode. Or, check for instructions on how to update the system BIOS on your computer. Video BIOS can only be updated through a system BIOS update.

If this doesn't work, most likely the Dual Link DVI-D is not allowing the Intel® graphics to use this resolution.

Regards,

Ivan.

I removed the Intel HD driver, there was "a basic video adapter microsoft".

The "Basic video adapter" works fine with the desired screen resolution 2560*1440*60Hz !!!

Reinstall the latest video drivers from Asus and Intel - only 1920*1080*60Hz or 2560*1440*30Hz

Conclusion: The only problem is software. With the latest Intel HD driver monitor is not working properly.

At this point, let's wait for a new driver version to come up, I suggest you to keep checking the Intel® download center for new version.

Best wishes,

Ivan.

This problem is discussed since 2011 -

/message/142230# 142230 Feature Request - implement EDID override

You can tell the development team that the driver need to fix a "few bytes" and put marked "beta"?

Thank you in advance.

Hello Maxim012,

First, we would like to apologize for the delay on our response.

After I did further research the dual link DVI is not supported by our driver.

We can recommend using DP output to connect motherboard to the panel if motherboard supports DP out; if motherboard has DP out but panel only has DVI in, then you can use DP=>DVI adapter. If motherboard supports HDMI out and panel has HDMI in, that should also work to get the required resolution (HDMI1.4 gives 4k@30 or 25x16@60).

Best regards,

Ivan.
