Hi Cata34,
Let's try to test your system with the Intel® Processor Diagnostic Tool, to verify the functionality of your system. The diagnostic checks for brand identification, verifies the processor operating frequency, tests specific processor features, and performs a stress test on the processor.
Please attach the results to your answer.

Also, could you please attach the result of the Intel® System Support Utility?

Hello Hellen
I'm experiencing the same exact problem like Cata, i have same i5-6600k@ 4.6Ghz and cpu usage in some games is 100% wich is bottlenecking my GPU GTX 970.
I ran the diagnostic tool and it said my cpu passed for everything, right now only typping this uses 30% of my cpu and this is the only thing i'm doing.
Thanks

Dear Hellen
Thank you for responding but i just found the solution for my problem.
I had to disable HPET (High Precision Event Timer) looks like the z170 mobos auto enable it or
something but i couldn't disable it manualy since i use the asus z170 pro gaming and the asus mobos
don't have the option to disable/enable it.
So i had to download a program that does all of it for me: http://www.bytemedev.com/programs/harmonic-help/ http://www.bytemedev.com/programs/harmonic-help/
Since then my I5-6600k works like a BEEASTT
I'm sorry for wasting your time Helen.
Have a nice day!
Eduard
