QueryBoundingBox and QueryArea

Can someone help me with the functions PXC3DScan::QueryBoundingBox() and PXC3DScan::QueryArea() ? I would like to know their usage and how they can help me to draw a virtual scanning 3D box to highlight the scanning area. I am open to alternative solutions for drawing a scanning 3d Box .
