Linksys Access Point Association Timeout

I've an Intel 5350 adapter installed on Lenovo T400 and Linksys E4200v2 router. The installed driver version is 14.3. The wireless connection is not stable and will disconnect often.

http://downloadmirror.intel.com/21039/eng/relnotes.htm Release Notes for Intel® PROSet/Wireless WiFi Software

In the release notes, there is a mention of a known issue with Linksys AP which says

Linksys* Access Point Association Timeout

After the association flow completes, the adapter stays awake (as in CAM mode) for 10 seconds, and then acts according to the PowerIndex (PI) regkey. PI should not be change during this period. The association timeout is 10 seconds. Using the Linksys access point, association occurs every 60 seconds, resulting in deauthentication and disconnection from the Linksys access point.

Does anyone know a workaround for this issue or know if this was ever fixed.

Thanks
