FPO Number not recognised when trying to register for warranty

Short of disassembling my computer can anyone tell me where to find the details I need to register my G3220 LGA1150 processor. I have typed every combination of code from the box label into the 'Enter the FPO Number' and get response "The product number(s) you entered cannot be located in our records.". Totally peed off with this nonsense, have checked the videos and label descriptions to ensure I am using the correct codes but nothing works. Help.

There is no need to register the Intel® processor after purchase. However, you may contact your local http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/contactsupport Intel support team for technical assistance or warranty replacement if needed.

Think that not being able to register my product with intel is poor. Registering my products helps me keep track of when I purchased them, I do this with western digital for all my WD hdd purchases and the facility is excellent, still if I am able to return my processor (should it fail) without having registered it I suppose it does not matter when I purchased it. I'll use this comment to record my purchase date for the processor. Dabs 23/05/2015 G3220 processor purchase.

We recommend you keeping the proof of purchase in case it is needed in the future to keep track of the purchase date.
