Hello ken1958,

The antenna connector of the Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260 is designed according to IEEE standards, so it can be used with compatible systems.

We would need additional details in order to provide further information:

- Are you planing to replace an existing wireless adapter with the 8260?

- Have you checked with the http://www.intel.com/support/oems.htm Computer Manufacturer Support if the Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260 is supported with that system?

- Computer brand and model where you plan to use the adapter.

Thank you Jonathan and thank you for your reply. Below is a link to the connectors that I believe are on the Wireless-ac 8260. I bought the pcb as a little toy for myself. No it does not work with my motherboard. I had to get an adaptor pcb to make it compatible with the Mini PCIe slot. It works great azt very short distances without any antenna attached at all. The standard USA laptop antenna connectors do not attach to this card. The bulkheads for the coax are about half the size as normal. It looks like a Hirose type mini coax connector but I really can't tell which brings me back around to what type of antenna connector is on the pcb so I can maybe get some or a maybe get a ready made cable to attach external wifi antennas to the 8260. I am playing with maybe running movies or such directly from the desktop to a TV. Possibly buying tv services on the internet while bypassing the cable providers cut in the price.

The antenna connector for the Wireless-AC 8260 (e.g. M.2 / NGFF form factor) is a Murata HSC connector. An equivalent of this is the IPEX MHF4.
