Could you try OpenCL HEVC decoders like Strongene's Lentoid or Cyberlink's PowerDVD ?
Lentoid it's completely free from here:
http://www.xhevc.com/resource/Strongene_Lentoid_HEVC_Decoder_OpenCL_v2.0.0.2_2014_07_15_r2667.rar http://www.xhevc.com/resource/Strongene_Lentoid_HEVC_Decoder_OpenCL_v2.0.0.2_2014_07_15_r2667.rar
I don't have an Ivybridge to test it, but those two OpenCL decoders should be compatible with Ivy.

works with my 3227u, tried 1080p@24fps and 2160p@24fps.
2160p made the windows ui lag really hard tho, but not the video.
EDIT : Just noticed it's (/message/273781# 273781 in response to ashleylai). but atleast it works

Unfortunately these drivers do NOT install on xeon-e3 based systems.
E.g. a standard SB/IB board with a e3-1245v2 /1225v2 as cpu.
The previous version ...39.. does.
If there is a technical reason for omitting the appropriate pci_ven/dev in the inf file, this might be really good place to actually tell us what the difference between a HD4000 gpu and P4000 Gpu is. I'm not aware of anything that is not just marketing checkboxes.
FYI, adding the the appropriate dev 016a to the inf file works, but then you have unsigned drivers and have to manually do the driver upgrade.

Nice! Finally a driver that works with shaders in the newest minecraft! Except the openGL extension "Vertex_Buffer_Objects" is broken and causes instant crash to desktop relating to the openGL dll of the intel graphics driver Will there be a fix for this in the future?

I'm having trouble with Battlefield 4 lately, back in july I got like 30-60fps at 800x450 Internal Resolution.
and now it's only 20fps max on battlefield 4, even when looking up. gpu usage were low and gpu clock were at 600mhz. It's 20fps max no matter how low the settings and the IR is, even at 320x200 it's still 20fps.
UPDATE : after some testing, it turns out the low fps is because of the UI, http://youtu.be/_V_CaXFLGJA Battlefield 4 Intel HD Graphics 4000 - UI kills FPS - YouTube
maybe it has something to do with driver problem? haswell+ doesn't seem to have that problem.

Hi, first of all thanks for this update as this fixed NBA 2k15 distorted graphics in My Career menu. However, when playing Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, there's a black screen during the first mission of the single player campaign after the cutscene when using this driver version. The UPDATE 15.36.14.4080 has resolve this issue (Display corruption observed on invisible opponents while playing Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare* game based from this link ) but my GPU is Intel HD 4000 and unfortunately, UPDATE 15.36.14.4080 is not compatible. Is there a new or any driver version for Intel Hd 4000 to resolve this issue? Thanks in advance.

Ever since installing the 15.33.32.4061 update on my Lenovo Yoga 13 (Win 8.1 64-bit) my laptop has developed a negative behavior. Whenever I wake my laptop from having turned off the display due to idle (power settings), if it was connected to an external monitor via HDMI, Windows will fail to be able to correctly detect the monitor's native resolution and applies the native resolution from my laptop's panel (1600x900).
If I direct Windows to apply the correct resolution on the external monitor, it will simply state that it cannot do so.
Curiously, if I tell the laptop to go into "duplicate displays" mode, where it sends the same 1600x900 to both the external monitor and the laptop panel, I can then direct it to output only to the external monitor and it will pick up the correct display resolution.

So the issue of not being able to run the device "headless" still exists with this latest driver set. If an HDMI device is not plugged in to the port, programs like TeamViewer, VNC, etc. cannot be run, as the graphics card is disabled. I know there are hacks where installing a EDID emulator in to the HDMI port will trick the card in to thinking a display is connected, but given that this is a software bug, I'm not sure why this cannot be addressed.
The issue has been known for well over a year with the HD chipset drivers, and supposedly 'fixed' in the latest HD Graphics drivers for the NUC (see thread here: -> ) with driver set: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/24473 Intel® Download Center version .4156
Any chance we can see this 'fix' incorporated in to the drivers for the Baytrail - like ASAP? Not being able to run these things headless without jumping through hoops really stinks. What's the point of a USFF micro pc that needs to have a monitor plugged in to function, when it otherwise servers excellent purpose as a remote diagnostic tool - all limited by a software bug.
Please help Intel!! PLEASE!
