Hick ups in videostreaming with Mobile Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset Family pc to tv on VGA

Hi,

I have problems with streaming video full screen from my laptop to my tv.

My laptop has a Mobile Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset Family accelerator, runs on Windows 7 and has only a VGA-connector.

I use the TV as only display (no cloning or extended display).

When I watch Netflix for example and I put it in full screen every once and a while I get a black screen. The audio does not hick up.

I watched it in cloned display to see what happens on the laptop screen, nut no problems there. This behavior is only on the tv.

Things I tried so far:

  • Trying 3 different VGA cables
  • Changing the resolution to the native resolution of the laptop screen (from 1360x768 to 1280x720)
  • Checking and rechecking for Windows 7 updates
  • Changing the quality settings for streaming on Netflix to low
  • Uninstall en reinstall the drivers using Intel® Driver Update Utility
  • Use a different browser (Chrome and IE 11)
  • Change the Visual effects settings in Windows to Better performance
  • Manually increasing the virtual RAM-memory of the hard drive from 4000 something to at least 10000
  • Uninstall every bit of software I do not use

Somebody out there another suggestion?

Thanks for the information provided RebekkaAalbers.

Would you please let me know which graphics driver version do you have installed?

http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/cs-028686.htm Graphics Drivers — Intel® Graphics Driver Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Could you please attach the DX Diag report for your system?

(Start -> Run -> dxdiag -> Save All Information).

Thanks for the information RebekkaAalbers.

Would you please try updating the Management engine driver and check if you are using the latest graphics drivers provided by your system manufacturer (Dell)?

Other recommendation I could give is to test another TV or monitor in order to check if you are getting the same behavior.

In addition, try also a BIOS update to the more recent version provided.
