I have a Dell laptop, 32 bit with an Intel Pentium processor and Vista Home Basic. About a fortnight ago Microsoft sent a bundle of updates of which one seems to have changed the appearance of my screen contents by making them look miniaturised. When I checked I discovered that something called Intel Graphics Media Accelerator Driver for mobile has seemingly taken over my machine. My desktop and emails all have the appearance as on a mobile and are much too small. I have tried using System Restore but the date that I would need has dropped off the hard disc. Microsoft, so called support, tell me that a laptop would not accept a download for a mobile - but mine has! Please can anybody advise what I can do about this, as I really find it intolerable to work with?

Thanks for joining the Graphics community.
I would need more information in regards to your system configuration:
Which version of Windows do you have?
Also, the exact processor model and the graphics controller:
http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/cs-009482.htm Graphics Drivers — How to identify your Intel® Graphics Controller
Click the Windows icon, and then right-click Computer .
Select Properties .
Find System Type on the Properties window, and then note the processor model.

Hi, allan_intel,
thanks for replying. I hope the following are the correct details you requested:-
Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU T3400 @ 2.16 GHz 2.17 GHz
Graphics Controller is now, apparently, Mobile Intel (R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family, DAC Type Internal
Adapter String Mobile Intel (R) GMA 4500MHD
Intel Video BIOS
OS is Vista Home Basic in a Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop, 32 bit.
Microsoft support told me that my machine should not have accepted an installation intended for a mobile - but it obviously has!

Thanks for the information.
For Windows Vista 32, the latest driver available is version 8.15.10.2869, please try the link below:
