Intel Core i7-4720HQ HD Grapghics shows horizontal lines

Hello,

I have a Lenovo Ideapad y70-70, 17.3" touchscreen, with dual graphics: - Core i7-4720HQ HD graphics, and - Nvidia Geforce GTX960M

Dual operating systems: Windows 10 pro, and Ubuntu 16.04.

On both systems, when using Intel graphics, screen shows horizontal thin colorful lines (appear and disappear, not consistent).

Are there any solution for this annoying issue?

Regards,

Hello abbas-babiker:

In this case in order to try to fix the issue for dual graphics configuration we recommend to use the latest graphics drivers provided by the manufacturer, in this case Lenovo, look for "Display and Video graphics":

http://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/products/Laptops-and-netbooks/Lenovo-Y-Series-laptops/Y70-70-Touch-Notebook-Lenovo/downloads http://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/products/Laptops-and-netbooks/Lenovo-Y-Series-laptops/Y70-70-Touch-Notebook-Lenovo/downloads

Remember that the Intel drivers are generic, meaning that they might or might not work with your system and also the drivers for Windows® 10 are not the same that Ubunto needs, so, on the following link you will find the Intel graphics drivers for Windows® 10:

Driver 4501:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26229/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-15-40-4th-Gen-?product=81496 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26229/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-15-40-4th-Gen-?product=81496

Or driver 4463:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26079/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-15-40-4th-Gen-?product=81496 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26079/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-15-40-4th-Gen-?product=81496

In order to get graphics drivers for Ubunto you can always visit the following site:

https://01.org/ https://01.org/

Or also you can visit the Linux forums in order to get further peer's assistance in trying to fix the problem:

http://ubuntuforums.org/ http://ubuntuforums.org/

Any further questions, please let me know.

Regards

Alberto

Thanks Alberto,

for Ubuntu i already used Intel Graphics Update Tool for Linux, provided by 01.org, but still the same.

For Windows, I will try later and feedback, but I work mainly on Linux, so I guess I'm going to dig deeper to solve this issue.
