I have a Asus P7H55D-M EVO motherboard with an i5 650 3.2Ghz CPU, running Windows 7, and am unable to use DVI with my Chimei CMV 946 A/D 19" LCD monitor. When I install the latest drivers with the DVI connected, the DVI interface will work until the computer is restarted. After this, only the BIOS POST screen and the Windows 7 loading screen is visible - the monitor just switches off after this point, instead of displaying the welcome screen and desktop.
When using the secondary input of this monitor (VGA), the monitor works, however, I have had to use the older EDID troubleshooting HD Graphics driver in order to use the native screen resolution of this monitor. Does anybody have any suggestions on how to resolve this issue? I don't really want to have to add a third party graphics card just to use DVI... 😞
