How to count fingers with hand tracking?

I know there is an example of doing it on the SDK but that is just too complicated to understand.

So, I will really appreciate if somebody could write a simple example of counting the number of fingers in 2 hands (from 0 to 10 fingers).

EDIT:

My camera model is SR300 and I'm programming in C# .

Thanks in advance.

Thank you for your response,

Finally, I decided to make a comperation between the finger tips and the B joints,

this way I was able to determine in wich state the fingers are, and by that, couting the fingers (even tho that it wasn't so efficient).
