Can't update HD4600 on Windows 10

Hi,

I'm having issues with updating HD4600 (Lenovo Y50-70) on Windows 10 1511 x64. I've tried manually downloading win64_153342 (both exe and zip) as well as using the Intel DUU and newest Beta driver. I always get the same error. I have included screenshots and installation log.

Installation log: http://pastebin.com/ed3RjEBe >>> 4/19/2016 19:37:27:670 [Install Configuration] Installer Version: 1.6.36 - Pastebin.com

Hello, mr_bartek:

Thank you for contacting the Intel Communities.

Regarding the driver support for this product, while using OEM systems like yours, the recommendation is to download and install the drivers from your computer's manufacturer

website.

This is to avoid losing any special features or settings while using the generic drivers from Intel.

With that said, here you can find the OEM drivers for your device: http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/Laptops-and-netbooks/Lenovo-Y-Series-laptops/Y50-70-Notebook-Lenovo/downloads/DS103720 http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/Laptops-and-netbooks/Lenovo-Y-Series-laptops/Y50-70-Notebook-Lenovo/downloads/DS103720

The other drivers to be tested would be the generic from Intel: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25860/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-15-40-4th-Gen-?product=81496 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25860/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-15-40-4th-Gen-?product=81496

Please note that the message received about requirement can be present while attempting to download this driver, why? Device manufacturers are entitled to limit the drivers to be installed in their systems, possibly for the reason mentioned before (features, settings, etc..)

I look forward to hearing from you and the outcome on this.

If any additional questions or inquiries are present, feel free to contact us back.

Thanks for the response. I have the same issue with Lenovo drivers. Could this possibly be a Windows 10 issue?

Hi,

Thanks for checking up. The solution posted worked. It seems that the Windows 10 Windows Update driver breaks updates from Intel as well as Lenovo original driver. After fully uninstalling drivers I was able to install the drivers from the Intel website.

Thanks again for your help.

Kind Regards,

Bartek
